Doors carry the load differently
A door has to hold design pressure while still opening every day. That is why rated doors use multipoint locking, heavier interlocks, and thresholds that are part of the tested assembly. Swapping in a different handle set or shaving a threshold can void the approval.
Wide sliders are where sizing gets interesting. Panel weight, track type, and header conditions decide what is possible, and on a pocketing slider the wall detail matters as much as the glass.

Two active leaves with an astragal, multipoint locking, and adjustable hinges for seasonal fine tuning.
Patio sliders
Two, three, and four panel configurations, plus pocketing frames where the wall depth allows the panels to disappear.
Thresholds
Standard, low profile, and near flush options. Flush details need a drainage plan, and we detail it rather than caulk it.
Hardware
Handle sets, keyed locks, and finish families that match the window package on the same elevation.
Screens
Sliding and retractable screen options on operating panels, ordered with the unit so the tracks line up.
