Custom mirrors
Custom Mirrors, Cut to Your Wall
Rectangular, arched, or round, in 1/4 in or 3/8 in glass, with edges polished the way you want them. Optional backlighting and anti fog, priced in the open.
What you are buying
Why a cut to size mirror looks different
A stock mirror is sized to a box, so it lands on your wall with awkward margins next to the sconces and the outlet. A cut mirror is sized to the wall and to the fixtures on it, which is most of the visual difference people notice and cannot name.
The other half is the edge. A flat polished edge is quiet and modern. A pencil edge is a soft rounded profile that hides small chips better. A bevel catches light at the perimeter and reads more traditional, and it costs the most because the machine time is longer.
Mounting, and why it matters more than you think
Clips are the least expensive and they show at the perimeter. Standoffs hold the mirror off the wall on visible posts, which looks deliberate and gives you a shadow line. A french cleat hides everything and sits the mirror close to the wall, and it is our default for large pieces. Adhesive only is the cheapest and the hardest to ever remove without damaging the wall.
Anything past roughly 30 lb wants a cleat or standoffs into blocking. We do not adhesive mount heavy glass over a vanity.
Backlighting and anti fog
Backlighting is an LED perimeter behind the glass that lights the wall, not your face. It needs a power source at the mirror location. If there is no junction box behind the mirror, an electrician has to add one before we install, and that is not included in our price.
Anti fog is a heated pad bonded to the back that keeps a patch of the mirror clear. It also needs power. It works, it is not magic, and it clears the pad area rather than the whole mirror.

Questions
Answered plainly
Yes. Notches and holes are part of the template, and we take those positions at measure rather than from your drawing.
