What we collect, and what we do not
Short version: you can price an entire project on this site without giving us anything. We only collect information when you choose to save a design, book a measure, or pay.
Using the configurator
Configuring glass on this site requires no account and sends us no personal information. Your in progress design is held in your own browser storage so you can come back to it. Nothing is transmitted until you press save.
What we collect when you engage
When you save a design or request a measure we collect your name, email address, phone number, and project address, along with the configuration you built. We use it to quote, schedule, fabricate, install, and support the warranty on your glass.
Payments are processed by our payment processor. Card numbers never touch our servers and we never store them. We retain only the amount, the date, the last four digits, and the processor reference so your ledger and your warranty record are accurate.
Transactional email, quote delivery, and status updates are sent through our email provider. Marketing email is opt out at any time using the link in the footer of any message, and opting out never affects your warranty or service.
Sharing, retention, and your rights
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with advertisers. We share only what a vendor needs to do its job: the payment processor, the email provider, our glass fabricator, and where required, the permitting authority for your municipality.
Project, payment, and warranty records are retained for the life of the warranty plus seven years, because warranty coverage runs with the installation and we have to be able to verify it. Design drafts that never became projects are removed after 18 months of inactivity.
To see, correct, or delete your information, email estimates@shield7.net or call (561) 248-0809. We answer within 30 days. Deletion requests that would destroy an active warranty record are explained to you before anything is removed.
