Old houses have out of plumb walls

Beachside Delray and the Lake Ida area carry a lot of 1950s and 1960s block construction. Those walls are rarely plumb, and a frameless panel scribed to a wall that leans half an inch over seven feet is a template job, not a stock size. We measure with a laser and cut to the opening we actually found.

On historic district properties the exterior envelope is regulated, which does not affect an interior shower enclosure but does affect glass railings and any exterior glass. If your project touches the outside, expect a review step and plan the schedule around it.

Salt air changes the hardware answer
