Warranty terms and coverage

This is the version of the warranty in force for installations completed under it. Your certificate records the version that applies to your job, and that version does not change afterward.

Coverage

What the 10 year warranty covers

  • Workmanship and installation labor for 10 years from the install date.
  • Hardware, including hinges, clamps, handles, and rollers, for 10 years against failure in normal use.
  • Vinyl sweeps and seals replaced at no charge for the first year, then at parts cost.
  • Glass is covered by the manufacturer against defect in materials. Breakage from impact or building movement is not covered.
  • Protective coating performance for 7 years when the published care routine is followed.
  • One transfer to a new owner of the same address, recorded by Shield7.

Exclusions

What is not covered

  • Abrasive cleaners, ammonia, vinegar, or razor blades used on coated glass.
  • Adjustment, removal, or reinstallation by anyone other than Shield7.
  • Damage from impact, storm, structural settlement, or water intrusion behind the substrate.

Exclusions exist because they describe damage we cannot control. Everything on that list is still repairable work we are happy to quote, it simply is not free.

Claims

How a claim works

Email warranty@shield7.net or call (561) 248-0809 with your certificate number and a photo of the issue. We respond within one business day and, for anything covered, schedule the service visit at no charge including labor and the trip.

Coverage begins on the install date, not the order date, and runs 10 years from that date. If a covered part is discontinued we substitute the closest current equivalent in the same finish family at no cost to you.

Transfer

Selling the house

The warranty is transferable once to a new owner of the same address for the remainder of the term. The transfer is recorded by us and reissues the certificate in the new owner name, so the coverage shows up in a title or inspection file rather than living in an email thread.
